Manifesting Your Desires

I'm sure you've heard of The Secret, yea? It was a big thing back in the early 21st century. I never figured out why it dwindled away and how come I never capitalized on that deal. Probably because I was busy not manifesting anything but chaos. That was, until, I watched the movie and read the book. It makes perfect sense. The universe is pure energy and what you put into it is what you get out of it. I am living proof that it works if you work it. There is more to it than just wishing. Wishing is for people that don't want to imagine. It does, however, start with a wish or a dream, a thought of what you'd like to have in your life, what you'd like to be, how you see yourself, and/or any number of things you'd like to receive from the universe.

I need to add a quick disclaimer here and now. This may not look exactly how you imagined things and it may take longer than you may have hoped. Manifesting one's desires also takes a little work and energy. The universe helps those that help themselves. I'm sure you've heard something to that effect used in a number of different ways. I know that if I say that I want to be a successful artist, if I imagine it, actually feel what it would be like, and act as if it is already happening, it will work to a certain degree. I believe there is far more work I will need to do in order to reach that goal. WORK?!?! Yes, work.

Let's explore opportunities, intuition, and the handling go situations that used to baffle us. Some people call it a hunch or a gut feeling, I call it the quiet voice of the universe. Some people call it luck or chance, I call it the universe providing opportunities for us to follow. These are sometimes hard to follow and may feel as if we are working against what we wish to achieve.

Let's use the Dirty Hippie artist trajectory. I deeply wished to make a living as an artist. The universe put a job opportunity in my path. The job was that of a graphic designer for a local digital print company. That job introduced me to many people, opened a goodly number of doors and began the building of a network that has not only helped my career as an artist, but enriched my whole life.
